Tests hydrogen ion activity. Acidity/alkalinity tester. Determines balance of soil microbes. Use to make decisions on balancing soil additives. In plant tissue testing, pHindicates balance of nutrients. Helps identify missing elements.

Calibrate with pH buffer solutions. All of the pH testers below feature 2-point calibration for better accuracy throughout the entire pH scale. You will need to use both pH 7.01, pH 4.01 calibration solutions to get this accuracy. Calibration solutions are sold separately.

• Foliage (plant tissue) pH is indicative of nutrient uptake & of the potential for insect & disease pressure
• Foliar spray pH can be adjusted to improve plant & fruit growth
• Some nitrogen fixing microbes cannot live if soil pH <5.8
• Herbicide use can be reduced by correcting spray pH
• Soil pH influences availability of nutrients to plants
• Soil pH profiles can be indicative of soil compaction
